The Sagittaria montevidensis Cham. & Schltdl. 1827,
in common parlance called California Arrowhead or Giant Arrowhead
is an aquatic plant native to South America,
but is also very popular in tropical Asia.
The Sagittaria montevidensis plant, with it´s beautiful white flowers,
with 3 wine-red spots, is found in shallow waters.
The species Sagittaria montevidensis Cham. Schltdl. 1827
belongs to the plant family Alismataceae.
