Ceratocentron fesselii Senghas 1989 is an epiphytic growing miniature orchid species, native to the Philippines, where the beautiful plant has been found on the island of Luzon.
The tropical orchid, with it´s up to 4 cm big orange flowers, grows in mountain forests at elevations at 1000 - 1200 meters. Flowering period: Winter. Ceratocentron fesselii orchids are protected by CITES Appendix II (trade controlled to avoid use incompatible with species survival). The tropical miniature orchid requires a warm – hot, humid climate, medium light and a shady location.. Ceratocentron fesselii orchids are considered as difficult to cultivate and can`t be recommended for orchid beginners. The very small plant should be kept humid all the time,
but shouldn`t be wet as well.
