Micropera pallida (Roxb.) Lindl. 1833

Micropera pallida (Roxb. Lindl. 1833 an epiphytic orchid species,
has been primarily described by the Scottish botanist William Roxburgh (1751 - 1815),
the so called “Father of Indian Botany”, as Aerides pallidum Roxb. 1832.
Eleven years later the British botanist Sir John Lindley changed it
to Micropera pallida. Micropera pallida orchids are native to India (Assam),
Bangladesh,Burma (Myanmar), Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia.
The flowers reach a length of about 1,2 cm.
Flowering period: August - September
