04/11/2012

Masdevallia Copper Angel is an epiphytic, terrestrial or lithophytic growing primary orchid hybrid, a crossing between the Masdevallia species orchids Masdevallia triangularis (seed parent) and Masdevallia veitchiana (pollen parent).

Masdevallia Copper Angel has been registered with the Royal Horticultural Society in the year 1982 by J & L.Orchids, an orchid nursery in Easton, Conneticut, USA. Flowers get a size of about 15 cm. Flowering period: Summer - Winter. The Orchid Hybrid Masdevallia Copper Angel requires cool temperatures and a shaddy location. The potting medium should be kept moist, but not soggy. The orchid hybrid is considered as an easy to care orchid and so, Masdevallia Copper Angel, with its stunning yellow-orange-red flowers, can be recommended for orchid beginners, as well.
