Miltonia spectabilis var. semi-alba Lindl. 1837 is an epiphytic growing orchid species, found in Brazil.


Var.semi-alba means, this Miltonia orchid is a half-albino., while var. alba orchids are mostly pure white, a var. semi-alba has still a little bit of colour. The flowers of the Miltonia spectabilis var. semi-alba orchid reach a size of about 10 cm. The single flowered inflorescences get a length up to 20 cm. Flowering period: Summer - Autumn.
The beautiful Miltonia spectabilis, as a part of the Oncidium alliance, is widely used for hybridisation.
