Primarily the Stichorkis latifolia (Lindl.) Pfitzer 1897 has been classified
by the German-Dutch botanist Karl Ludwig Blume as Malaxis latifolia Blume 1825.
Sir John Lindley changed the name in Liparis latifolia Lindl. 1830,
which seems to be principally used, but is just accepted as a synonym.

native to China (Hainan), Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and New Guinea.
