Aerides falcata Lindl. & Paxton 1851 is an epiphytic growing orchid species, native to the eastern Himalayas, Myanmar (formerly Burma), Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.



Aerides falcata inflorescences reach lengths up to about 50 cm and carry up to 30 highly fragrant flowers. The scent is reminescent of jasmine and lilac. Single flowers get a size of about 3 cm. Aerides falcata orchids are best grown in hanging baskets or mounted on trees, the tropical plant requires a warm to hot, humid climate and full sun or bright light.
