Dendrobium parishii Rchb.f 1863 an epiphytic growing orchid species native to India (Assam), China (Hainan), Myanmar (former Burma), Thailand, Laos and Vietnam, has been described and named by the German Botanist Heinrich Gustav Reichenbach (1823-1889) in honour to Reverend Charles Samuel Pollock Parish (1822-1897). The fragrant and long-lasting Dendrobium parishii flowers, with a scent reminescent of rhubarb, get a size of about 5 cm.
Flowering period: March - May.
