Eulophia pulchra (Thouars) Lindl. 1833 (synonym: Oeceoclades pulchra (Thouars) M.A. Clem. & P.J. Cribb 1989) is a terrestrial growing orchid species, widely spread throughout Africa, Asia and Australia.

The long-lasting flowers are born on erect, up to 75 cm long inflorescences and reach a size of about 2,5 cm in diameter.
Flowering period: Spring - Summer.
Eulophia pulchra (Oeceoclades pulchra) orchids are protected by CITES Appendix II (trade controlled to avoid use incompatible with species survival). The tropical ground orchid requires a warm, humid climate and a location in partial shade - full sun. Plants shoud be kept moist, but not wet and should dry out between waterings. Eulophia pulchra orchids need a well-drained potting-medium to avoid waterlogging, which lead to root rot. Waterings should be restricted
during the winter rest.
