Paphiopedilum godefroyae (God.-Leb.) Stein 1892 is a terrestrial or lithophytic growing lady slipper orchid species native to Thailand. Paphiopedilum godefroyae has been named in honour to the French horticulturist and botanical newspaper publisher Alexandre Godefroy-Lebeuf (1852 - 1903). Flowers of the Paphiopedilum godefroyae lady slipper orchid can last up to 2 month and reach a size up to 12 cm in diameter. Flowering period: December - July. Paphiopedilum godefroyae belongs to the subgenus Brachypetalum Haller 1897 and like other lady slippers from that subgenus, as Paphiopedilum niveum, Paphiopedilum concolor or Paphiopedilum bellatulum,
rewarded plants can reach prices up to 5000-6000 US $.
