Orchid Hybrid Cattleya Pink Jaguar

22/03/2013

Cattleya Pink Jaguar is an impressive, epiphytic growing orchid hybrid, a crossing between the hybrids Cattleya Sophia Martin (seed parent) and Cattleya Thospol Spot (pollen parent).

The medium sized orchid hybrid with its colorful flowers, has been registered with the Royal Horticultural Society in the year 2008 by K.Kobayashi, an orchid breeder and specialist from Hawaii. The waxy, fragrant and long-lasting flowers of Cattleya Pink Jaguar get a size of about 12 cm in diameter. The showy Cattleya orchid hybrid requires intermediate to warm temperatures, a partial shady location and bright light. Temperatures should not exceed 18°C during the winter rest and waterings should be restricted. Cattleya Pink Jaguar is considered as an easy to care orchid and can be recommended for orchid beginners.
