Dendrobium Hibiki is an epiphytic growing orchid hybrid, a crossing between the Dendrobium species orchids Dendrobium bracteosum (seed parent)
and Dendrobium laevifolium (pollen parent).
Dendrobium Hibiki has been registered with the Royal Horticultural Society by F. Oomura in the year 2009. Flowers get a size of about 2,5 cm. Flowering period: Spring - Autumn. The stunning, bright pink flowers, with a bright orange lip, are born in clusters on elder, mostly leafless canes and last for month. Mature plants of the slow growing Dendrobium Hibiki produce multitudes of flowers and become a showy gem of an orchid. Dendrobium Hibiki orchid hybrids require intermediate to warm temperatures, medium light and a shady location. The orchid hybrid should be kept humid, but not wet during the growth season, waterings should be restricted during the winter rest.
