Vanda pumila Hook. f. 1890 is a small epiphytic growing orchids species native to North India, South China, Bhutan, Sikkim, Nepal, Burma (Myanamar), Laos, Thailand, Vietnam and Sumatra (Indonesia). Commonly the slightly fragrant orchid is called dwarf Vanda, in Thailand Ueang Pak Pet, what means duck’s bill orchid. Vanda pumila flowers get a size of about 3 cm. Flowering period: Febrauary - March.
