Bulbophyllum orientale Seidenf. 1979 is an epiphytic growing orchid species,
native to South China (Yunnan), Burma (Myanmar), Thailand, Laos and Vietnam.
Flowers reach a length of about 0,5 cm.

We found the small Bulbophyllum orientale at the orchid exhibition
at the Royal Flora Ratchphruek 2010, Chiang Mai, Thailand.
It wasn´t easy for our Thai flower photographer Nat, to get a picture of that orchid.
The plant was in a distance of more than 2 meters
and we´ve been not allowed to get nearer.
Nat did it in a quite tricky way and we´ve been surprised by his macro shot.
