The beautiful Coelogyne lentiginosa Lindl. 1852 orchid is an epiphytic and lithophytic growing tropical orchid (Orchidaceae) species, native to Thailand, Myanmar (formerly Burma) and Vietnam. In Thailand the Coelogyne lentiginosa orchid is called Ueang Chun. Inflorescences get a length of about 15 cm and carry up to about 5 flowers. The highly fragrant flowers get a size of approx. 4 cm. Flowering period: September - December. Coelogyne lentiginosa orchids are protected by CITES Appendix II (trade controlled to avoid use incompatible with species survival).
