01/01/2014

Brassia Eternal Wind “Summer Dream” is an epiphytic growing orchid hybrid, a crossing between Brassia Bracdiana (seed parent) and Brassia Rex (pollen parent). Brassia Eternal Wind “Summer Dream” has been developed and registered with the Royal Horticultural Society in the year 1993 by M.Sato,
an orchid breeder from Keaau, Hawaii.
The spider-like, fragrant flowers get lengths of about 11-13 cm. Flowering season: with good conditions twice a year.

Brassia Eternal Wind “Summer Dream” requires intermediate to warm temperatures and moderate to indirect bright light. The “spider orchid” hybrid should be kept moist, but not sogging wet, during growth season in summer. During winter rest waterings should be restricted. Brassia orchid hybrids or cultivars are considered as easy to grow plants and can be recommended to orchid beginners.
