Oeceoclades Orchids

Oeceoclades is an orchid ( Orchidaceae) genus, established by the English botanist Sir John Lindley (1799-1865 ) in 1832 with about 38 Oeceoclades species, native to Africa and Madagascar, Oeceoclades maculata also to Central and South America and the Caribbean Islands. Oeceoclades orchids are closely related to Eulophia orchids and are mostly terrestrial growing.
The abbreviation in horticultural trade is: Oecl.
