Phalaenopsis × valentinii is an epiphytic growing, natural orchid hybrid first found in Malaysia, a crossing between Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi (seed parent) and Phalaenopsis violacea (pollen parent). The manmade primary orchid hybrid, named Phalaenopsis Valentinii, has been registered with the Royal Horticultual Society in the year 1959. The slightly fragrant flowers, with a citrus scent, get a size of about 3-4 cm in diameter. Flowering period: Spring - Summer. Phalaenopsis × valentinii (Phalaenopsis Valentinii) requires warm – hot temperatures and is best cultivated in partial shade. Plants should be kept moist, but not sogging wet, whilst waterings should be restricted during the winter rest
from November – January.
