Dendrobium canaliculatum R. Br. 1810 is an epiphytic growing miniature orchid species, found in New Guinea and Australia. The cute and fragrant Dendrobium canaliculatum flowers reach a size of just about 2,5 cm in diameter and are born on erect inflorescences, densely packed with lots of tiny flowers. Flowering period: Winter - Spring. Dendrobium canaliculatum orchids are protected by CITES Appendix II (trade controlled to avoid use incompatible with species survival). The tropical orchid requires warm to hot temperatures and bright light or full sunlight. Plants are best mounted. During growth season Dendrobium canaliculatum plants should be kept humid, but not wet and should be regularly fertilized. In winter, waterings and fertilizer should be decreased, until new growth appears in spring.
