09/01/2010

The Royal Thai orchid Dendrobium Pink Nagarindra is named after H.R.H. Princess Galyani Vadhana, Krom Luang Narathiwas Ratchanagarindra (1923-2008), the elder sister of His Majesty the King of Thailand Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX).

Dendrobium Pink Nagarindra is an orchid hybrid, a crossing of Dendrobium Blushing (seed parent) and Dendrobium Arica (pollen parent). The Royal Thai orchid has been registered with the Royal Horticultural Society in 2009 by Air Orchid & Lab, a Thai orchid Nursery located in Banglane in Nakhon Pathom province, Central Thailand.
