Lady Slipper Orchid Paphiopedilum Florento

Paphiopedilum Florento is a terrestrial growing, primary lady slipper orchid hybrid, a crossing between the species orchids Paphiopedilum kolopakingii (seed parent) and Paphiopedilum chamberlainianum (pollen parent).
The lady slipper orchid hybrid has been registered with the Royal Horticultural Society in the year 2001 by Lowland-Biotech. Inflorescences can reach lengths up to about 80 cm and carry up to 20 flowers. Paphiopedilum Florento flowers get a width of about 10 cm. The lady slipper orchid requires cool - warm temperatures and bright light to induce flowering.
