Bulbophyllum annandalei Ridl. 1920 is an epiphytic growing orchid beauty found in Thailand and Malaysia. The orchid species belongs to the Bulbophyllum sektion Cirrhopetalum and is often labeled as Cirrhopetalum annandalei, which is not even accepted as a synonym by the science of botany.. The beautiful, yellowish, non fragrant flowers reach a length of about 5 cm. Flowering period: Summer. Bulbophyllum annandalei orchids are protected by CITES Appendix II (trade controlled to avoid use incompatible with species survival). The tropical orchid requires cool to intermediate temperatures a location in full shade and a good air movement to avoid fungal infections. Plants should be kept moist, but not wet, during growth season. During dormancy waterings should be slightly decreased.
