Dendrobium peguanum Lindl. 1859 is an epiphytic growing miniature orchid species,
endemic to the Himalayas, India (Sikkim), Nepal, Burma (Myanmar) and Thailand.
The Dendrobium peguanum orchid has been named after the burmese town Pegu
The name of Pegu has been changed in the year 1989
to Bago by the military junta of Burma (Myanmar).
The small, colorful flowers reach a size of about 1,25 cm.
