Aerides rosea Lodd. ex Lindl. & Paxt. 1851 is an epiphytic or lithophytic growing orchid species, native to India (Assam, Sikkim), Myanmar (formerly Burma), Thailand and Vietnam. Inflorescences reach lengths up to 60 cm and are densely packed with up to about 25 flowers. The highly fragrant flowers get a size of about 2,5 - 3,5 cm in diameter. Flowering period: May - June. Aerides rosea orchids require warm temperatures, full sun or bright light and a well drained potting medium. Plants are best cultivated in hanging baskets
