The Dendrobium bellatulum Rolfe 1903 orchid beauty is in common parlance quite rightly called The Enchanting Dendrobium.
The epiphytic growing miniature orchid is native to Thailand, Vietnam, South China and the Himalayas. The beautiful, long-lasting flowers, size about 3-4 cm are fragrant, but the smell fits not everybodys nose. Flowering period: January - March. Dendrobium bellatulum orchids are protected by CITES Appendix II (trade controlled to avoid use incompatible with species survival). The tropical miniature orchid requires cool - warm temperatures and medium light. Plants should dry out between waterings and waterings should be restricted during the winter rest, until new growth appears.
