Malleola dentifera J.J. Sm. 1927 is a medium sized, epiphytic growing orchid species native to Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia.

The waxy flowers get a size of just about 0,7 cm and are best viewed with a magnifying glass or a macro lens. Inflorescences reach lengths of about 10 cm and carry up to 10 flowers. Flowering period: July.
Malleola dentifera orchids are protected by CITES Appendix II (trade controlled to avoid use incompatible with species survival). The tropical miniature orchid requires intermediate - warm temperatures and a shady - partial shady location with medium light. The potting medium should be allowed to dry out between waterings.
