Cleisostoma discolor Lindl. 1845 is an epiphytic growing miniature orchid species, native to India (Sikkim), Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia.
The Inflorescence of the Cleisostoma discolor miniature orchid can reach a length up to 60 cm and carries up to 20 successively opening flowers. Flowers get a size of just about 1 cm. Flowering period: May. Cleisostoma discolor orchids are protected by CITES Appendix II (trade controlled to avoid use incompatible with species survival). The tropical orchid requires a warm to hot, humid climate.
