Schoenorchis fragrans (Parish & Rchb. f.) Seidenf. & Smitin. 1963
is an epiphytic growing miniature orchid species, native to India (Assam), Myanmar (formerly Burma), Thailand and China (Yunnan).

Primarily Schoenorchis fragrans has been classified by Parish and Reichenbach in 1874 as Saccolabium fragrans. In 1891 it has been changed by Gustav Kuntze to Gastrochilus fragrans and in 1963 changed again to Schoenorchis fragrans. The very small, fragrant flowers reach a size of just about 1 cm and can vary in colour, from light pink to a pinkish-red. Flowering period: April - June. Schoenorchis fragrans orchids are protected by CITES Appendix II (trade controlled to avoid use incompatible with species survival). The tropical miniature orchid requires intermediate - warm temperatures and full sunlight.
