Acriopsis liliifolia (J. Koenig) Ormerod 1995 (Acriopsis javanica Reinw. ex Blume 1825) is an epiphytic growing, small sized orchid species native to Indochina, the Malay peninsula, Indonesia, the Philippines, New Guinea, the Solomon Islands
and Northern Australia.

The erect inflorescences reach lengths up to about 25 cm and carry multiple small flowers. Flowers get a size of just a bit more then
1 cm and are best viewed with a magnifying glass or a macro lens. Acriopsis liliifolia (Acriopsis javanica) orchids are protected by CITES Appendix II (trade controlled to avoid use incompatible with species survival). The tropical orchid species requires a warm - hot, humid climate and a location in moderate shade. The small orchid genus Acriopsis contains about 12 species and has been established by the German botanist Karl Ludwig Blume (1796–1862) in 1825. Acriopsis orchids, abbreviated Acr. in horticultural trade, are commonly called Chandelier Orchids, whilst the botanical name Acriopsis means locust or grasshopper like.
