Catasetum tenebrosum Kraenzl. 1910

Catasetum tenebrosum Kraenzl. 1910 is an epiphytic or lithophytic growing,
sexually dimorphic orchid species, native to Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
The image shows a male Catasetum tenebrosum flower,
the female flowers are different in shape and color.
Male Catasetum tenebrosum flowers get a size of about 3 cm.
