The Dendrobium cruentum orchid is endemic to the south-west coast of Thailand
near the border to Malaysia. In the Year 1884,
the German botanist Heinrich Gustav Reichenbach was describing
this Orchid, also called “The blood red Dendrobium”,
in the “Gardeners Chronical & Agricultural”.

The Dendrobium cruentum orchid is rarly to find in the nature
and is listed as an endangered species in the Appendix I
of the CITES convention.
By breed, the Dendrobium cruentum orchid
is sometimes available commercially.
Flower size: 4 – 5 cm
Flowering period: all year round
