Rare Beauty Pleione maculata Lindl

At the Ratchaphruek 2009 Orchid Exihibition – Chiang Mai – Thailand,
we´ve been captured by the beauty of the rare Pleione maculata Lindl. Orchid.
The Pleione maculata Lindl.& Paxton 1851, also called “The spotted Pleione”
is found in Thailand (North and upper North East) and Vietnam
and grows terrestrial at elevations above 2000 meters.
Flowering period of this beautiful orchid is fall (September – October).
