Coelogyne bruneiensis de Vogel 1992 is an epiphytic growing, quite unknown and rare orchid species, native to Brunei, a small islamic state on the Island of Borneo (Kalimantan).
Flowers of Coelogyne bruneiensis are born on inflorescences with a length of about 20 cm and get a size of about 5 cm. Inflorescences carry up to about 12 flowers. Flowering period: Summer - Autumn. Coelogyne bruneiensis orchids are protected by CITES Appendix II (trade controlled to avoid use incompatible with species survival). The rare tropical orchid requires a warm - hot, humid climate and a location in partial shade. Waterings should be restricted during the winter rest.
