Habenaria Light Wings is a primary orchid hybrid, a crossing between the Habenaria species orchids Habenaria xanthocheila (seed parent) and Habenaria medusa (pollen parent),
both native to South-East Asia.
The terrestrial growing Habenaria Light Wings has been registered with the Royal Horticultural Society by P.Momkaew in the year 2011. The white flowers, reminescent of bird wings, get a size of about 3 cm across. Flowering period: July - August. The Habenaria Light Wings orchid hybrid is often confused with Habenaria radiata, an orchid species native to Japan, Korea and Russia .
