Dendrochilum uncatum Rchb. f. 1855 is a small sized, epiphytic or lithphytic growing orchid species, native to Taiwan and the Philippines.

Inflorescences get lengths up to about 15 - 20 cm and carry up to 30 small, fragrant flowers. Single flowers get a size of about 0,9 cm. New flowers open with a greenish color and change to a more yellow whilst mature. Flowering period: Autumn - Winter. Dendrochilum uncatum orchids are protected by CITES Appendix II (trade controlled to avoid use incompatible with species survival). The small sized orchid requires a cool to warm, humid climate with intermediate to bright light. The potting medium should dry out a bit between waterings. During winter water and fertilizer should be restricted.
