The African Tulip Tree (Spathodea campanulata P.Beauv.),
endemic to tropical Africa, has primarily described
by the French naturalist Palisot de Beauvois (1752-1820).
The tropical African Tulip Tree with its spectacular bright orange flowers
can reach a heigth up to 30 meters and is widley spread throughout
tropical countries worldwide. Flowers, leaves and bark
are used in natural medicine against skin diseases.
