The Epidendrum radicans “Ballerina” is an orchid hybrid, based on the orange flowered Epidendrum radicans Pavon ex Lindley 1831, which is a ground rooting orchid native to Middle America and is also called Crucifix Orchid or The Ground Rooting Epidendrum. Epidendrum “Ballerina”® (Epidendrum radicans “Ballerina”) is a registered trademark, but not a registered orchid hybrid. The Epidendrum radicans “Ballerina” and also the species Epidendrum radicans Pavon ex Lindley 1831 are easy to handle orchids and are recommended for beginners. Flowers grow to a size of about 2,5 cm. The Epidendrum radicans “Ballerina” orchid hybrid is available in different colours, like white, pink and orange.
