The small colourful flowers reach a size of about 1,5 cm across. Flowering period: December - January. Pelatantheria insectifera orchids are protected by CITES Appendix II (trade controlled to avoid use incompatible with species survival). The miniature - small sized orchid requires a warm - hot, humid climate and is best cultivated in partial shade with moderate sunlight.
