Royal Thai Orchid Phalaenopsis Princess Chulabhorn

The Royal Thai Orchid Phalaenopsis Princess Chulabhorn is an epiphytic growing orchid hybrid, a crossing between Phalaenopsis Rose Miva (seeed parent) and Phalaenopsis Kandy Queen (pollen parent). The beautiful orchid hybrid has been registered with the Royal Horticultural Society in the year 1999 by R.B.G.Peradeniya.In 1999, during a vist of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn in Sri Lanka, the government of Sri Lanka asked for royal permission to name this beautiful Phalaenopsis hybrid after Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn of Thailand. The Princess is the youngest child of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand. Flowers of Phalaenopsis Princess Chulabhorn reach a size of 7,5 - 9 cm.
