08/05/2010

The Nymphaea Nang Kwak Khao (Indian Goddess Water Lily White) is a tropical water lily hybrid from the so called Nang Kwak group, descendent from India.

Dr. Slearmlarp (Sam) Wasuwat, who runs a Waterlily Farm in Thailand, imported the first Nang Kwak water lilies and started to develop this beautiful, but a bit strange aquatic plants. The name refers to the Indian Goddess or the Thai spirit (Thai saint) of Nang Kwak. Nang Kwak statues are placed in many shops in Thailand, people believe Nang Kwak is helping to raise the sales. Nowadays a lot of varieties and colours of Nang Kwak water lilies are available.
