Phalaenopsis tetraspis Rchb. f. 1870 is an epiphytic growing orchid species, native to Sumatra (Indonesia) and the Union Territory of the Andaman and Nicobar islands, which belongs to India.

The fragrant flowers of Phalaenopsis tetraspis, which get a size of about 5 cm in diameter, can vary in their markings. Some flowers have red lines or spots, while others are nearby pure white. The white form without markings of Phalaenopsis tetraspis is often named Phalaenopsis tetraspis var. alba, which is not accepted by the science of botany and if You`ll have a close look, You`ll find violett stripes at the lip, which may have a very pale, nearly white color. Flowering period: Spring. The tropical orchid requires a warm to hot, humid climate and a partial shady location. The plant should always be kept humid but not wet.
