The miniature orchid Kingidium deliciosum (Rchb.f) H.R. Sweet 1970
has first been classified in the year 1854 by Heinrich Gustav Reichenbach as
Phalaenopsis deliciosa. In 1970 the american botanist Herman Royden Sweet
renamed the small orchid as Kingidium deliciosum.
The epiphytic growing Kingidium deliciosum is endemic to the Himalayas,
India (Assam, Sikkim), Burma (Myanmar), Nepal, Sri Lanka,
Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.

The flowers can reach a size of about 1,5 cm,
our flower has a size of just 0,8 cm.
Flowering period: May – June
