The Hoya gracilis Schlechter 1908 is a native plant to the Philippines and Indonesia,
to which region isn´t clearly certifiable.
In the year 1886 plant collectors found a Hoya gracilis near Tolisso, Sulawesi
and handed the plant later on out to the german botanist Rudolf Schlechter.
In 1906 Elmer Drew Merrill, an american botanist, found a similar plant
at the island of Mindoro, Philippines, which has been classified by Schlechter
as Hoya gracilis var. philippinensis.
The Hoya gracilis wax flower is an easy-care house plant.
